I have had this Tibor Riptide reel for about 9 years and
have never had it serviced. The reel has worked perfectly until now.
9 years! That in itself is amazing. So we know it's a great reel, now
it's time to test the company itself. Time to get the drag serviced.
I emailed the company asking what the process is and received a timely
response with instructions which were as follows:
Dear Jason,
You may send your reel directly to us for repair and servicing. Please send your reel along with a check or money order for $25.00 (return shipping) to:
Tibor Reel Corporation
Attn: Repairs
255 North Congress Avenue
Delray Beach, FL 33445
Please include a note with your name, address and reason for return.
Once we receive the reel, we will replace any worn and damaged parts
and also clean and relubricate the reel. Our turnaround tine is
approximately 5-7 business days. Please let me know if I may be of
further assistance.
